Job summary

Randstad Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 3 and 4 across academic and pastoral duties. This full‑time, long‑term role is term‑time only, with daily rates between £92.56 and £95, paid weekly.

Immediate start to provide both subject support and pastoral care in a fast‑paced secondary environment. You will assist with Maths, English, Science, and other subjects, mentor pupils, and run targeted interventions for literacy and numeracy,

Qualifications

  • Strong communicator who can explain difficult ideas simply and build rapport with students aged 11‑16.
  • Experience from a school, university tutoring, sports coaching, or volunteering with youth groups.
  • Proactive and resilient, able to handle a high‑energy environment and stay calm under pressure.
  • Committed to safeguarding and student welfare; hold an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply).

Salary: £92.56 – £95 per day (Weekly Pay – dependent on experience)
