Salary: £85 – £100 per day

Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay focused and make academic progress.

Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons.

Support students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN and behavioural challenges.

Help promote a positive and respectful learning environment.

Encourage student participation, confidence, and independent learning.

Supervise students during non-classroom times, including break and lunch periods.

Requirements for a Secondary Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with secondary-aged students (in schools, tutoring, or youth work settings).

A good understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour support strategies is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to student support.

Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.

An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
