Career Teachers is seeking a Geography Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position in Harrogate, starting December 2026. The role involves delivering Geography lessons to Key Stages 3–4, with potential KS5 for experienced candidates, and contributing to the Humanities department.

The ideal candidate holds QTS and has secondary Geography teaching experience, strong classroom management, and a passion for the subject to inspire students and raise standards.

Career Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join a successful Humanities department in a well-established Secondary School in Harrogate on a full-time maternity cover contract from December 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching for suitably experienced candidates. We are looking for someone who can inspire students, foster a love of the subject and contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge learners
• Assess, monitor and support student progress to achieve excellent outcomes
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:
