Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves in Hackney is seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant for a full-time placement from ASAP through July 2027. You will support KS3/KS4 pupils in Maths and Science, delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions while assisting teachers with lessons and classroom organisation.

The role offers extensive CPD, a supportive staff culture, and strong routes into teacher training, with a 33.5-hour week and PAYE weekly pay of £515.52.

Qualifications

• Has a strong degree and strong A-Levels; a 2:1 or above from a leading UK university is preferred.
• Experience working with children or young people, formally or informally.
• Proactive, flexible and committed to supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 1:1 support to KS3 and KS4 pupils in Maths and Science.
• Leading targeted small-group interventions to improve pupil progress.
• Supporting pupils with SEND in mainstream classrooms.
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation; building pupil engagement.
