Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS3 class in Hackney. This role is term-time only, 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with PAYE £100–£120 per day.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with SEN, knowledge of positive handling, and a patient, communicative approach. DBS enhanced, right to work in the UK and references are required; start date 14/09/2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children within Key Stage 3 and SEN.
• Desirable: sound knowledge of core subjects for 1:1 learning when required.
• Positive handling training would come as an advantage

Responsibilities

• Cover within a Year 6 class with emphasis on SATs support.
• Support pupils with SEN
• Work with the teaching assistant team to support learning objectives

Skills and Qualities

• Experience supporting children within Key Stage 3 and SENTEAM TEACH or Positive Handling Training would come as an advantage
