Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Secondary Teaching Assistants to work across partner secondary schools throughout Tameside, including Denton and surrounding areas. Roles include 1:1 and small-group support for KS3/KS4, with SEN and behavioural support.

Opportunities span full-time and part-time contracts, with weekly pay and potential progression to permanent positions. Applicants with travel ability between areas are encouraged to apply, with DBS checks typical.

Qualifications

• Experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and SEN TAs.
• Graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology or education.
• Psychology, Education, English, Maths, Science, Humanities and other subject graduates.
• Youth workers, sports coaches and mentors with experience supporting young people.
• Experience in SEN, SEMH, behaviour or pastoral support is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS3 and KS4 in the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Help pupils with engagement, confidence and progress.
• Provide pastoral and behaviour support.
• Work alongside teachers, SEN and pastoral teams.
• Support pupils across a range of curriculum subjects.
