Job description

Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Salary: £100 - £130 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a Secondary Supply Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Eastleigh. This is a great chance to work in a friendly school and help students learn and grow. You will have the support of a caring team and the chance to gain valuable experience.

Your main role will be to cover classes when teachers are absent. You will follow lesson plans provided and support students to learn well while keeping good behaviour in class.

Your Responsibilities:

• Teach classes when teachers are absent.
• Use lesson plans provided by the school.
• Keep students focused and support their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour calmly and clearly.
• Work well with other staff and support the school’s routines.

What We Are Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching as a Secondary Supply Teacher is desirable.
• Strong skills in managing classrooms and communicating with students.
• Flexible and happy to teach different subjects and year groups.
• Experienced teachers seeking a better work-life balance are also encouraged to apply.
• An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education
