Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work with secondary and post 16 students in a well-structured special needs secondary school in either Wandsworth or Lambeth to start after Easter. These schools cater for students with autism, learning difficulties, communication difficulties, and sensory overload. Although students are secondary age, the curriculum is tailored to their cognitive needs and may learn at a lower level such as a primary level. These schools are looking for teaching assistants with or without experience, who are interested in working with special needs and keen to learn and make a difference to students' academic and life skills. As a teaching assistant, you will be working in class sizes of 8 - 14 students per class, working with a class teacher and collaboratively with other teaching assistants that include English, maths, drama, history, music, and PE, and also supporting students with the Duke of Edinburgh program.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
