Job Description:

Leader Education is recruiting a Secondary SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work at a SEND School based in Morpeth. This school caters for children aged 2 to 19 years old. The successful LSA will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) or relevant transferable skills from a similar role. The school aims to provide a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment with high expectations, valuing all members of the school community.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and it is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

• An enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Knowledge and skills relevant to working with SEND children
• An energetic and proactive approach to supporting children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A good understanding of EHCPs
• Adaptability and a commitment to meeting diverse student needs
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning
