Job summary

You will assist with personalised learning plans, support communication and social development, and collaborate with therapists and pastoral staff to foster pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND is preferred but not essential.
• Calm, patient and caring approach is required.
• Willingness and confidence to support personal care routines.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND in classroom and practical settings.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to promote learning and independence.
• Assist with delivery of personalised learning programmes under teaching staff guidance.
• Support pupils with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene.
• Help manage behaviour according to individual plans and school policies.
• Promote communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to support pupil development.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
