Job summary

3 Dimensions School, part of Outcomes First Group, seeks a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to support pupils with complex SEND in a specialist independent setting. You will deliver personalised learning, work with a multidisciplinary team and help students progress academically and personally.

QTS or equivalent qualification is required, with experience in SEND, strong behaviour management, and a collaborative approach with families and professionals. Driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering engaging, inclusive teaching and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
• Knowledge of SEND and commitment to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
• Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of positive behaviour support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with families and professionals.
• Driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils feel valued and supported.
• Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, including small-step achievements.
• Support pupils' emotional regulation, wellbeing and personal development through positive, relationship-based approaches.
• Collaborate with families, therapists and external professionals for joined-up pupil support.
• Contribute to annual reviews, reports and individual learning plans.
• Lead and support classroom staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Promote independence, communication skills and preparation for adulthood.
• Support curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
