Job summary

3 Dimensions School is seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to support pupils with SEND in a specialist independent setting. You will deliver engaging, personalised learning and monitor progress, working closely with TAs, therapists and families.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience delivering engaging, inclusive teaching and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
• Knowledge of SEND and a commitment to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
• Strong behaviour management skills and an understanding of positive behaviour support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with families and professionals.
• Driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils feel valued and supported.
• Monitoring, assessing and celebrating pupil progress, including small-step achievements.
• Supporting pupils' emotional regulation, wellbeing and personal development through positive, relationship-based approaches.
• Contributing to annual reviews, reports and individual learning plans.
• Leading and supporting classroom staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Promoting independence, communication skills and preparation for adulthood.
• Supporting curriculum development and contributing to school improvement initiatives.
