Job summary

Outcomes First Group's 3 Dimensions School in Chard is seeking a Secondary SEN Teacher to support pupils with SEND. You will deliver engaging, personalised learning, working with teaching assistants, therapists and families to help learners make progress and thrive in a nurturing, child-centred environment.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a proven track record in inclusive teaching and strong behaviour management.

Qualifications

QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification is required.
Experience delivering engaging, inclusive teaching and adapting learning to individual needs.
Knowledge of SEND and commitment to pupils' potential.
Strong behaviour management and positive behaviour support.
Excellent communication and teamwork with families and professionals.
Driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupil needs and EHCP outcomes.
Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, including small-step achievements.
Support pupils' emotional regulation, wellbeing and personal development through relationship-based approaches.
Collaborate with families, therapists and external professionals for joined-up support.
Contribute to annual reviews, reports and individual learning plans.
Lead and support classroom staff to deliver high-quality learning.
Promote independence, communication skills and preparation for adulthood.
Support curriculum development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
