Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is currently working with a specialist SEN school in Bristol to recruit a dedicated Secondary SEN Science Teacher for KS3 and KS4.

You will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons, adapt resources to meet individual needs, monitor progress and collaborate with teaching assistants to secure inclusive, high-outcome learning.

This full-time role offers ongoing SEND training, a supportive consultant, and the chance for long-term placement within a welcoming SEN environment.

Qualifications

• UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• SEN/SEND experience or strong interest in specialist education.
• Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.

Protocol Education is working with a specialist SEN school in Bristol that is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary SEN Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting your teaching to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
• Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning needs.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and EHCP targets.
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Using differentiated teaching strategies to engage learners.
• Monitoring progress and providing effective formative assessment.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist support staff.

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Have previous SEN/SEND experience or a strong interest in working within specialist education.
• Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.
• Be patient, resilient and adaptable.
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be committed to inclusive education and improving pupil outcomes.
