Protocol Education is working with a specialist SEN school in Bristol seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Science Teacher to join on a full-time basis. You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting materials to meet the needs of learners with additional needs and EHCP targets.

This role offers a supportive SEND environment with access to free CPD and specialist SEND training, a dedicated consultant, and opportunities for long-term or permanent positions.

Qualifications

  • Hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • SEN/SEND experience or strong interest in specialist education.
  • Able to teach KS3 and KS4 Science.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Committed to inclusive education and improving pupil outcomes.

Responsibilities

Protocol Education is working with a specialist SEN school in Bristol that is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary SEN Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who can combine strong subject knowledge with a patient, inclusive and adaptable approach to meet the individual needs of every learner.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting your teaching to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

  • Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
  • Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and EHCP targets.
  • Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Using differentiated teaching strategies to engage learners.
  • Monitoring progress and providing effective formative assessment.
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist support staff.

We're Looking For
  • Hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Have previous SEN/SEND experience or a strong interest in working within specialist education.
  • Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.
  • Be patient, resilient and adaptable.
