Step Teachers Ltd is seeking a General Science Teacher to join an 11-16 secondary school in Norwich on a full-time maternity cover, commencing January 2027. The role spans KS3-4, delivering Biology, Chemistry and Physics with engaging lessons and clear progression plans.

You will plan, deliver, and assess lessons, monitor pupil progress and support GCSE outcomes while upholding high behavioural standards. QTS or equivalent and robust subject knowledge are essential.

Formación

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Ability to teach General Science up to GCSE level.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsabilidades

• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor and report on student progress.
• Support students in achieving strong examination outcomes.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Contribute positively to the wider Science department.
