Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking a General Science Teacher for flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. You will deliver high-quality Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in Attleborough and surrounding areas, following provided plans and ensuring pupil progress.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong subject knowledge, and confident classroom management. You will adapt to varied year groups and contribute to departmental planning.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge across the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Able to motivate learners across various year groups.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics following provided plans.
• Teach practical and theory-based content safely and effectively.
• Support students in developing scientific understanding and investigative skills.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies and assess pupil progress when required.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with a range of needs.
• Contribute to departmental planning during longer-term placements.
