Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants for secondary schools in Lambeth, South London. You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, in and out of the classroom, with a focus on SEN, SEMH, ASC, and ADHD needs.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Care Worker, or within a similar support role.
• Have experience supporting students with SEN and/or managing challenging behaviour.
• Can build positive and professional relationships with young people.
• Are resilient, patient, and confident working in a secondary school environment.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with their learning and development.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Provide tailored support for students with SEN, EHC Plans, SEMH needs, and additional learning requirements.
• Help promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Support teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
