Job summary

Teach South Kent is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Bexhill, East Sussex, this September. This is a full-time role supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional learning needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the wider school team to provide consistent support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include supporting students during lessons, assisting teachers with activities,

Qualifications

  • Reliable, adaptable and proactive.
  • Experience in education is desirable but not essential.
  • Degree or relevant qualification beneficial but not required.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the wider school team to provide consistent support throughout the school day.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.

We\'re Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, caring, and committed to helping young people succeed.
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Is reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Has previous experience working with young people or in education (desirable but not essential).
  • Holds a degree or relevant qualification (beneficial but not required).

This role would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Care Workers, Youth Workers, Nursery Practitioners or graduates considering a future career in education, psychology or therapy.
