• The role is based in an inspirational PRU setting in Billingham.

About the Role:

• The role involves supporting pupils who have been temporarily excluded from mainstream schools. Pupils may display challenging behavior and have varied SEN.
• The role includes supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The pupils may have SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD.
• A key part of the role is to build rapport and positive relationships with pupils to help them engage with learning and progress academically and developmentally.
• Develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of pupils, working closely with class teachers and colleagues to tailor support.

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:

• Supporting teaching and learning or childcare qualification (desired)
• Experience working with children in UK schools
• Experience in an SEN school or PRU setting (desired)
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Resilient, proactive, and positive attitude
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years
