Job summary

Cover People are recruiting for a Personal Care Assistant to work in a Manchester secondary school, supporting pupils who require assistance with personal care and daily activities throughout the school day.

Working alongside teaching and support staff, you will help pupils access their education comfortably and safely, providing personal care and assistance where required while following safeguarding procedures and promoting pupil dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care or supporting individuals with additional needs.
• A patient, empathetic and respectful approach.
• An understanding of the importance of dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• The ability to follow care plans and established procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A calm and professional manner.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Previous experience in a school, healthcare, care home or specialist support setting would be advantageous.

This role would suit a compassionate, patient and reliable individual who understands the importance of maintaining pupils' dignity, privacy and independence while providing practical support tailored to their needs.

The Role
