We’re working with a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Manchester (M9) that’s looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team immediately.
Position: Maths Secondary Teacher
Location: Manchester, M9
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £160–£210 per day (dependent on experience)
Age Group: Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4
Contract Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4. Whether it’s through whole-class teaching, small groups, or targeted 1:1 support, your goal will be to help students strengthen their understanding, boost confidence, and improve academic performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Providing tailored support to students who need additional help.
- Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
What We’re Looking For:- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE.
- Strong experience teaching Maths within the UK curriculum.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics and student success.
- Confidence in working 1:1, in small groups, and in whole-class settings.
- A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education).
- A proactive, resilient, and dedicated approach to teaching.
