Job description

Role: Secondary Maths Teacher
Hourly Rate: £140 - £210
Location: Pickering

We are working with a well-regarded, inclusive school in Pickering that is committed to helping every learner thrive. The school promotes a calm and purposeful learning environment, where pupils are supported to develop confidence and independence.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to support pupils within the classroom. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive impact on young people’s lives.

The successful candidate will bring subject knowledge, flexibility, and a nurturing approach. While experience is beneficial, a proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills are equally valued.

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
• Supporting pupils' progress and development within the subject
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support learning outcomes

This is a full-time role starting in September for a minimum of the first term, with the potential to become ongoing for the right person. A supportive team and professional development opportunities are available within the school.
