Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Bury is recruiting an English Teacher for a September start. The role combines delivering English Language and Literature to KS3/KS4 with occasional cover duties during teacher absences.

You will plan, assess and monitor student progress in a supportive secondary school environment, fostering reading, writing and communication skills while maintaining high behaviour standards. DBS checks will be completed as part of safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

Bury | September Start | 08:30 - 15:30 | £168 - £232 per day (dependent on experience)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Bury seeking a dedicated English specialist to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to inspiring a love of English while also being flexible enough to provide general classroom cover when required.

The successful candidate will primarily teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their reading, writing, and communication skills. There may also be occasions where you are asked to undertake Cover Supervisor responsibilities, delivering pre-planned lessons across other subject areas in the absence of teaching staff.
