Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is seeking English teachers to cover secondary classes across Cardiff. You will teach English across KS3/KS4, support GCSE preparation, and keep classes engaged and on task.

Applicants should hold QTS and be registered with the EWC or eligible to register, with DBS on Update Service preferred. Weekly pay and safeguarding training are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level.
• Confident managing behaviour in classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across KS3 and KS4 following school plans.
• Support reading, writing and GCSE preparation.
• Mark work and provide clear handover notes for the class teacher.

Job description

• Teaching English lessons across KS3 and KS4, following the school's plans and schemes of work
• Supporting reading, writing and GCSE preparation
• Keeping classes settled, engaged and on task
• Marking work and leaving clear handover notes for the class teacher
  QTS, with experience teaching English at secondary level
• Registered with the EWC as a school teacher, or able to register
• Confident managing behaviour and quick to settle into a new classroom
• Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service

  £173-£180 per day, paid weekly every Friday
