Job summary

Milk Education is seeking an Engagement Mentor to join Secondary and SEN Schools across Teesside. You will help pupils develop independence, support learning in one-to-one or small group settings, and collaborate with teachers to foster a safe, supportive classroom environment.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, confidentiality, and building positive relationships with learners and staff, with flexible days to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

  • Passion for working with children and helping them thrive
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting children's learning
  • Understanding of additional needs and how to support them
  • Recent experience in a school or education setting (preferred)
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare/education or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to learners
  • Building strong relationships with teachers and other professionals to create a collaborative learning environment
  • Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies

Engagement Mentor

Engagement Mentor - What we're looking for:
