Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Qualified Secondary Teacher to cover KS3/KS4 across Wakefield and surrounding areas on a long-term basis.

You will plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum, foster an inclusive classroom, and work with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupils. A QTS is required; strong behaviour management and excellent communication are essential to motivate learners. Experience welcomed but not essential.

Job Title: Secondary Teacher (KS3/KS4)

Location: Wakefield and surrounding areas

The Role

We are looking for a Qualified Secondary Teacher to work across all subject specialisms on a long-term basis across various Secondary schools in Wakefield and surrounding areas. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help change the lives of children. You will need a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and be able to create an inclusive, inspiring environment that supports pupils with their learning.

• You will be planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, to meet the needs of the children.


• Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages a love for learning.


• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support children.


• Be able to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, ensure a productive learning environment and be able to follow schools behaviour policies.

The School and Requirements

You must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and previous experience is desirable but not essential.

• You can demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.


• Excellent communication to be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.


• Have a proactive, positive and adaptable approach.
