Starting immediately, this full-time, term-time position runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary of £21,500 to £24,500 per annum, depending on experience.

This rewarding role calls for someone who can remain calm under pressure, build meaningful relationships, and support students through behavioural and emotional challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioural, social, and emotional challenges across the school.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement behaviour support strategies.
  • De-escalate incidents, provide a calm, structured presence, and build trust with pupils.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, maintaining accurate records.
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a support, pastoral, or mentoring role.
  • Calm, patient, and non-judgemental approach to managing challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Resilience and confidence in a fast-paced school environment.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • Full-time, stable role during term time only.
  • Opportunity to make a real impact in young people's lives.
  • Collaborative school team and supportive SLT.
  • Access to ongoing training and development through GSL.

If you are a dedicated Behaviour Support, passionate about supporting the development of young learners and ready to make a difference in a vibrant primary school setting, we would love to hear from you.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
