Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza is seeking a Second Pizza Chef to join our growing team in London. You will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, lead shifts when the Head Chef is away, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

You will train the team alongside the Head Chef, complete prep, and work with the wider staff to deliver top quality pizza in a fast-paced setting. Weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience stretching, baking and making dough in a fast-paced environment.
• Good command of English.
• Excellent communicator who enjoys being part of a team.
• Willing to work weekends.

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 12 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!
We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.
We’re a young and fast-growing company who offer plenty of career progression for hard working and talented individuals.

What will I be doing?

Ensuring the kitchen service is running smoothly.

Leading shifts and taking ownership in the absence of the Head Chef.

Adhering to the highest standards, including cleanliness and organising deep cleans.

Training the team alongside the Head Chef.

Completing all prep as required and taking responsibility for your workstation.

Work collaboratively in a team alongside the wider team.

What are we looking for?

Someone with previous experience stretching, baking and making dough in a fast-paced environment.

Someone with a good command of English.

An excellent communicator who enjoys being part of a team!

Someone who is willing to work weekends.
