Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza is seeking a Second Pizza Chef to join our team in London. The role focuses on maintaining kitchen service, leading shifts in the Head Chef's absence, and upholding high cleanliness standards, while training and guiding the team.

You will perform prep duties, manage your workstation, and collaborate closely with the broader team to deliver great pizzas. A strong command of English and teamwork are essential, with weekend work required.

Qualifications

Experience stretching, baking and making dough in a fast-paced environment.
Good command of English.
Excellent communicator who enjoys being part of a team.
Willing to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the kitchen service is running smoothly.
Leading shifts and taking ownership in the absence of the Head Chef.
Adhering to the highest standards, including cleanliness and organising deep cleans.

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries- all on the quest for the perfect pie!

We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.

What will I be doing?

Ensuring the kitchen service is running smoothly.
