The Evolve Group is seeking a dedicated Second Chef for a luxurious 55-bed residential and dementia care home in Chichester, West Sussex. You will prepare and serve meals that delight residents, supporting a fine dining experience with varied choices for every meal.

You will work under the Head Chef, have 2+ years in catering, and ideally hold NVQ 2/3. Expect mentoring, professional growth, and opportunities to contribute to menus and events.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years catering experience.
• NVQ 2/3 in catering or equivalent.
• Chef de Partie level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve appetising meals for residents from menus created by Head Chef.
• Order ingredients, manage stock and ensure freshness and local sourcing where possible.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and health & safety in line with care home policy.

Second Chef - Care Home - £16.42 an hour

We are recruiting for a second chef in a luxurious 55 bedded residential and dementia care home based in Chichester, West Sussex.

We are looking for someone who is both energetic and passionate about providing exceptional food. Working from a variety of menus created by the Head Chef, you will ensure that mealtimes are a highlight of our residents’ days by ordering, preparing and serving appetizing freshly produced food, from local suppliers where possible, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety. We aim to provide a fine dining experience with varied choices for every mealtime but also providing all catering for private events for our residents.

Pay rate: £16.42 an hour

Hours: 40 hours a week - alternative weekends off - no late finishes (latest 7pm)

Working in a spacious, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, you will need to be hard working, professional and reliable. Our Chef is looking for someone who has at least 2 year’s catering experience, ideally Chef de Partie level with NVQ 2/3.

You will need to have the passion to work with the catering team showcasing innovative and fine dining standard of food. You will be mentored and trained further by the Head Chef and encouraged to contribute to the kitchen’s ideas and menus.
