Second Chef

Caledonian is looking for exceptional individuals aspiring to excel in the hospitality industry, operating all year-round.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day tasks of the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations in the kitchen.
• In the absence of the Head Chef, collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Head Chef in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
• Support the Head Chef in training and developing the kitchen team to achieve high standards of product quality and presentation.
• Manage staff rotas in the absence of the Head Chef to service the business efficiently and keep labour costs within budgeted targets.

About you

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexible with shift patterns.
