Job description

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Second Chef to help ensure the smooth running of operations in Healthcare on a part-time basis, contracted to 15 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
2. Overseeing and implementing menu changes
3. Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
4. Listening and acting on customer feedback to continuously improve our food services
5. Supporting the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
6. Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
7. Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked
8. Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
9. Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations

Our ideal Second Chef will:

1. Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
2. Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
3. Have experience supervising a team
4. Have experience in a similar Chef role
5. Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
6. Have a flexible approach to working
