Job summary

OnFife is seeking a Museum Assistant to join St Andrews Museum on a permanent basis. The role is 14 hours per week in summer (Apr–Sep) and 10 hours per week in winter (Oct–Mar), with a pro rata salary of £25,604.23–£26,786.83.

You will welcome visitors, promote the venue and events, and support administration, security and day-to-day operations. The post offers flexible working, a Real Living Wage, a local government pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Ideal background in visitor or customer service.
• Enthusiasm for helping others and customer care.
• Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills; strong administration ability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that every visitor to St Andrews Museum has a memorable visit.
• Promote the venue, its activities and events to visitors.
• Assist with security, operations and day-to-day administration.
