The role requires commercially aware hands-on trading, seasonal strategy creation, and the ability to deliver in-season action with speed to market. You’ll work at pace, manage intake and margins, and influence key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create seasonal strategy for product areas with Buying, building cohesive ranges.
• Submit monthly sales, stock and markdown forecasts for department plans.
• Take ownership for in-season trading and speed to market improvements.
• Monitor weekly intake, align with Brand targets and flag risks to seniors.
• Manage dept. OTB and target margins with Merchandising Director.
• Plan best-fit product mix by market type and store type.
• Oversee MD and promotional planning to minimize MD and boost profitability.
• Follow a clear sign-off process with appropriate product lead-times.
• Distribute stock effectively to maximise store and product performance.
• Maintain deep knowledge of market trends and store performance.
• Ensure correct level of newness and phased end-use mix.
