Job summary

DiverseJobsMatter is seeking an experienced Lighting Technician for a leading arts and entertainment venue to join the Production and Technical team for the autumn and Christmas season. You will support a varied programme of live events, operating and maintaining complex lighting systems for internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Lighting Technician in live events, entertainment or production environments.
• Strong knowledge of complex lighting systems.
• Demonstrable experience maintaining large moving-light rigs.
• Experience adapting lighting rigs for changing production requirements.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Dedicated and collaborative approach to work.
• Willingness to develop new skills within an established technical team.

Responsibilities

• Set up lighting equipment and systems for events and productions.
• Adapt lighting rigs to meet changing daily production requirements.
• Maintain large moving-light rigs and associated equipment.
• Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of lighting systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Deliver lighting services for both internal and external clients.
• Work collaboratively with lighting technicians, designers and operators.
• Help ensure lighting equipment is prepared, maintained and operated to the required standard.
