Job summary

National Trust is hiring a Chef in Grantham to join our food and beverage team. You will cook from scratch, using seasonal ingredients, and serve visitors in a busy, welcoming setting.

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week across five days, including weekends, in a permanent role. Induction and training in allergens and food safety are provided, with mentoring available to support your development.

Qualifications

• experienced as a professional chef or cook, with a passion for food and a friendly and positive attitude.
• confident about following recipes and batch-cooking, and willing to learn.
• aware of health and safety compliance
• happy working within a team, and good at communicating with people

Responsibilities

• Your main focus is the kitchen, a busy and creative hub, cooking from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Your food will be served directly to visitors and you’ll maintain high standards of hygiene and COSHH procedures.
• You’ll receive induction and training in allergens and food safety, plus mentoring to help you in your role.
