The Mill Adventure Base, operated by The Methodist Church in Britain, seeks a Seasonal Instructor for a fixed-term post from March to October 2027. The role centers on leading outdoor learning for children and young people, carrying out PPE checks, setting up activities and keeping the site well maintained.

Applicants must hold a current national governing body award in an outdoor activity, have experience in adventure/recreation, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Seasonal Instructor post at the Mill Adventure Base, the council's outdoor education site on the banks of Kingsmill Reservoir, with two fixed-term places running from March to October 2027. The work centres on leading outdoor learning sessions for children and young people, alongside PPE checks, activity set-up and general upkeep of the site. The post is site-based at 37 hours a week and needs current national governing body awards in at least one outdoor activity. Interviews take place on 2 December 2026, and the start date is yet to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Current, valid national governing body award in at least one outdoor activity, such as mountaineering, rock climbing or paddle sports
