Job summary

The Mill Adventure Base in Sutton in Ashfield is seeking a Seasonal Instructor to deliver outdoor learning sessions with children and young people across Nottinghamshire. This fixed-term role runs March to October 2027 with a start date to be confirmed.

You will also support day-to-day operations, maintain safety standards and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment while working site-based at Kingsmill Reservoir.

Qualifications

• Experience in the adventurous and/or recreational activity sector.
• Current and valid national governing body awards in outdoor activity.
• Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).

Responsibilities

• Delivering Dynamic Sessions: Work with individuals and groups to provide engaging outdoor learning experiences.
• Operational Support: Conduct PPE checks, assist with activity structure, and maintain the site to ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Health and Safety Champion: Apply best practices in health and safety at all times, ensuring a secure environment for participants.
