Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking a diligent Grounds Maintenance Operative/Greenkeeper to maintain and improve outdoor spaces across Castle Point. The role centers on Woodside Park in Benfleet, with responsibilities from mowing to planting and seasonal renovations.

It is a fixed term contract until 30/09/2027, with 29 hours weekly in winter and up to 45 hours weekly from April to September. Full UK driving licence required; pesticide licences desirable.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
• PA1/PA6 Pesticide Licences would be desirable.
• Experience in using gardening power tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safety procedures.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Fine turf preparation and renovation including bowls croquet cricket pitch and putt.
• General sports preparation and renovation for football, rugby, tennis and MUGAs; including goalpost setup.
• Grass cutting, debris removal, leaves, litter; hedge and shrub trimming.
• Placing and planting shrubs, trees and bulbs.
• Use of gardening equipment, powered hand tools and ride-on machinery.
• Plan and prepare for seasonal works and ensure tools/equipment are organised in advance.
• Graffiti removal; snow clearance and gritting.
