Job summary

Quad in Sussex is seeking a SEASONAL Material Handler, Truck Loader. The role loads finished product onto semi-trailers using a propane sit-down forklift, with an on-board PC and RF barcode system. The position runs from now until roughly Thanksgiving, with pay between $18.50–$19/hour.

The successful candidate will operate a powered industrial truck safely, follow SOPs, keep logs, and coordinate with shipping for staging. Prior forklift experience and reliability are required.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and ability to operate a forklift for extended periods.
• Experience in factory, warehousing, shipping or related environments preferred.
• Able to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good Math skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Perform post-skidding operations such as strapping, banding, wrapping and boxing.
• Safely operate a powered industrial truck to transport product between departments.
• Review and complete material logs and production paperwork.
• Perform clean-up and waste removal tasks.
• Coordinate trucking with shipping for staging purposes.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and promote safe work habits.
• Communicate shift expectations with supervisor and peers.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
