Job summary

Lea Valley Academy invites applications for a part-time, seasonal Exam Invigilator role covering the November 2026 to July 2027 examination periods. You will supervise exams, enforce JCQ regulations and school procedures, set up rooms and distribute papers, monitor attendance, seat students, and supervise departures.

The post requires an Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Availability for the full exam season (Nov 2026–Jul 2027).

Responsibilities

• Enforce school policies and procedures throughout the examination process.
• Monitor and observe students closely during exams.
• Help set up the examination room.
• Distribute exam papers.
• Check attendance throughout the exam.
• Guide students to their seats according to the seating plan.
• Supervise students leaving the room quietly.
• Deal with queries raised by students.
• Collect exam papers at the end of the exam.
• Stay alert to potential cheating or foul play.
