Job summary

Cornwallis Academy invites applications for Exam Invigilators to join a pool supporting internal and external examinations.

As an invigilator you will ensure JCQ regulations are followed, supervise candidates, distribute and collect papers, and assist candidates with needs while maintaining exam integrity. This is a flexible, term-time role with May/June peaks and additional ad hoc sessions.

Experience supervising secondary students is advantageous; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with secondary school age children is advantageous.
• Zero-hour contract; main working months May and June, plus November/December, March, and ad hoc times.

Responsibilities

• To ensure JCQ and awarding body regulations are followed during exams, for both internal and external examinations
• Be vigilant for instances of malpractice and report concerns to Exams Officer
• Distribute and collect exam papers
• To be aware of any needs that candidates may have during an examination.
• To ensure that no inappropriate/not allowed items are brought into an examination room.
