Job summary

Squire's Garden Centres in Thames Ditton is seeking seasonal customer service assistants to support the team during the Christmas period. You will welcome customers, answer queries and help identify what they need to make their visits enjoyable.

Shifts include weekends and several daytime slots from 18 November to 24 December, with some additional days by arrangement. A friendly manner, good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn are essential.

Job description

Seasonal: 18 November 2026 until 24 December 2026

Your primary responsibility will be to provide professional support to our customers.

Working closely with the Garden Centre Manager to help the business to succeed.

Rota:

Every Saturday 21 November - 19 December 07:45-16:30

Every Sunday 22 November - 20 December 08:45-16:30

Plus additional days required:

Wednesday 18 November for charity launch event, hours to be discussed at interview

Tuesday 1st and Monday 7th December 08:30-12:30

Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd 07:45-16:30 with Thursday 24th December hours to be discussed at interview

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance
• Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently
• Identifying customer needs through interaction, and taking appropriate action
