Job description

Seasonal Ecologist

RPS, a TetraTech company, is seeking Seasonal Ecologists to support various fieldwork and reporting tasks, including surveys for GCN, reptiles, dormice, bats, and badgers. The role also involves assisting with other analysis and reporting activities such as BREEAM assessments, desk studies, and literature reviews.

This is a six-month temporary contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent after the survey season.

Who we're looking for

Essential Skills

• Experience conducting ecological surveys such as GCN, reptiles, bats, and badgers
• At least one survey season, preferably in consultancy
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Valid driving license and current CSCS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable Skills

• Survey licenses (e.g., GCN)
• Ecological protected species survey capabilities
• GIS skills

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject with survey experience
• Membership in CIEEM (Graduate/Associate) preferred
