Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre is seeking a friendly bartender for a temporary season from November 2026 to January 31, 2027. You will greet guests, mix and serve beverages, and contribute to a memorable bar experience in a busy city centre hotel.

18+, bar experience preferred but not essential, and a can-do attitude with strong guest service skills are key. This on-site role offers opportunities to work with a passionate hospitality team in a prestigious setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promote house drinks and use up-selling skills to increase revenues.
• Ensure you are providing a top tier customer service experience that stands out from our competitors.
• Prepare beverages requested by guests using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.
• Coordinate food service with Restaurant(s) for bar/lounge guests if applicable.
• Check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable.
• Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incidents to the Supervisor or Manager on duty.
• Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
• Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies.
• Perform pre and post-shift work (empty/fill ice-bins, prepare garnishments, replenish/store snacks, etc.)
• Check all necessary supplies in line with hotel procedures and manage liquor inventory.
• Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift.

Role Responsibilities

We are looking for temporary season staffing for our hotel - You must be 18+ and bar experience is favourable. Your contract will run November 2026 until January 31st 2027. Food and Beverage is what adds flavour and flair to a stay! Guests love to enjoy their favourite drink whether it’s with friends, family, colleagues or just on their own. To deliver a great experience a Bartender will prepare beverages and/or serve food in a timely manner, helping guests to have memorable experiences whenever and wherever they drink.
