Portsmouth City Council is seeking an active, practical and customer-focused individual to maintain and repair parks, seafronts and facilities across the city. You will interact with the public, handle enquiries and work outdoors in varied conditions.

The role combines practical carpentry, maintenance and repair skills with delivering excellent service, often in busy public spaces. A full driving licence and physical fitness are essential; STA Level 3 in Pool Plant Operations is desirable and

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence and ability to drive a large vehicle.
• Practical carpentry, maintenance and repair skills.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment.
• Experience of working with the general public and using own initiative.
• STA Level 3 in Pool Plant Operations is desirable; training available.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair facilities across Portsmouth's seafront, parks and play areas.
• Respond to public enquiries in person or by phone with a friendly service.
• Travel between locations performing diverse operational and maintenance tasks.
• Support splash pool operations and assist with events, inspections and repairs.
• Lift and move equipment as part of daily duties.
