Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking a practical, active individual to join our outdoor maintenance team. You will work across Portsmouth's seafront, parks and play areas, combining carpentry, maintenance and customer service to keep facilities safe and welcoming.

A full clean driving licence is essential; you must be physically able to lift and move equipment and work outdoors in all weather. STA Level 3 in Pool Plant Operations is desirable, with training provided if required.

• Experience in outdoor maintenance, basic carpentry and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities across Portsmouth’s seafront, parks and play areas.
• Interact with the public, answer enquiries in person and by phone.
• Support splash pool operations and event days; conduct inspections and basic repairs.
