Job summary

White Recruitment Construction seeks a Freight Coordinator for Deep Sea Imports & Exports at London Gateway. You will manage import/export shipments from booking to invoicing, working closely with customers, suppliers, lines and internal teams.

The role offers £32,000–£38,000, hybrid working, 25 days leave, healthcare, pension, and an annual incentive bonus; full training including CargoWise One accreditation awaits.

Qualifications

Freight Coordinator - Deep Sea Imports & Exports

Are you an experienced Freight Forwarder looking for a new opportunity with a well-established and growing logistics business?

We're looking for a confident and detail-focused Freight Operator to join a friendly team at London Gateway, managing deep sea import and export operations from booking through to invoicing and completion.

The role

You’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day management of import and export shipments, working closely with customers, suppliers, shipping lines and internal teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing bookings accurately and efficiently
• Managing import and export operations
• Invoicing and operational file completion
• Resolving supplier and invoice queries
• Liaising with customers and suppliers by phone and email
• Maintaining accurate operational records
• Supporting colleagues and providing holiday cover
• Working towards CargoWise One certification

About you

We're looking for someone with previous freight forwarding experience and a good understanding of forwarding procedures.

You’ll need:

• Experience in freight forwarding, ideally deep sea
• Good knowledge of import and/or export procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
• Confident communication skills
• A positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team

CargoWise One experience is desirable but not essential.
