Job summary

Insight is seeking an SDET profile to join our team in London. You will be a software engineer with hands-on test engineering experience, focusing on Python, AWS, and testing tools like pytest and Playwright.

The role emphasizes building automation, validating ML data pipelines, and enhancing platform reliability. You will design platform-level test solutions, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with MLOps and infrastructure teams to embed quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on software development experience in backend systems or platform engineering.
• Expert in Python with strong OOP, testing frameworks and automation libraries.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions/Jenkins.
• Solid experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance tools and services to validate ML data pipelines and AI infrastructure reliability and correctness.
• Develop platform-level test solutions and automation frameworks using Python and cloud-native practices.
• Contribute to the platform's CI/CD pipeline by integrating automated testing, resilience checks, and observability hooks at every stage.
• Lead initiatives to improve testability, platform resilience, and validation as code across the ML platform stack.
• Collaborate with engineering, MLOps, and infrastructure teams to embed quality engineering deeply into platform components.
• Build reusable components that support scalability, modularity, and self-service quality tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence technical standards across the Test Engineering Program.
